Last night ended with a wine night with Celeen. Today started with a trip to the weekend market with Celeen as well.
Salcedo Weekend Market
I consider this place as one of the perks I have for living in the city. Weekend markets are just <3. They bring out the kids in us. While going around the market, Celeen and I can’t help but crave for this and that, point to this and that, hoping to have all the money to buy the food we want. The fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, etc. are all fresh! The cooked food is fresh from the pots and pans ready to be bought. Celeen was able to buy a plastic of mint leaves, two lemons, blueberry bread and yogurt milk from Holly’s. I was able to buy my aunt and uncle lunch of their choice and organic white rice. We both bought a small bottle of chia seeds, with complementary tips from the stall-owner himself. We admitted we kind of splurged, but we were still willing to spend more if only we had money. It was already around 8 when we decided to walk back to the car and look for a place to eat breakfast.
Commune Cafe + Bar
Celeen and I are suckers for cafes. This in particular has been in our coffee shop bucket list for so long. Going to this place, we almost thought we got lost but thanks to the friendly parking police and Celeen’s Waze, we got to the place. The place is very hard to miss because it is in the corner of the street with COMMUNE written in big letters on its glass. We were lucky they were open that early and was ready to serve us breakfast! While settling down, we grabbed the chance to take a lot of pictures.
We ordered Chicken Longganisa for breakfast plus Cappuccino coffee with 3d art for Celeen. The waiter informed us that they were moving and will be closed for around 2 months. They will be relocated in Polaris St. Makati, near Senor Pollo, a very familiar place for me and Celeen (Makati girls)! While waiting for the food, more pictures were taken.
Breakfast was served and soon after Celeen’s 3D Cappuccino Coffee followed. I am always a fan of breakfast food. I choose it over any meal in a day.
I had to help Celeen finish her coffee because she was already late for her doctor’s appointment. It’s always an adventure when I am with her and Nicole (MIA) and now that Celeen drives, I wonder where she will bring us next. 🙂
